Image Resizer
Resize to exact dimensions
The essentials
The Image Resizer changes a photo to exact pixel dimensions. It is ideal for profile pictures, thumbnails, website uploads, and marketplaces that demand a specific width and height.
How to use it
- Drop in a PNG, JPG, WebP, BMP, or GIF image.
- Enter the width and height you need, or scale by percentage.
- Keep the aspect ratio locked to avoid stretching, or unlock it for exact sizes.
- Download the resized image in your chosen format.
Pro tips
- Resizing down keeps quality high; enlarging small images works better with the Upscaler.
- Use WebP output for the smallest file at the same dimensions.
- For social media, check the platform's recommended pixel size before resizing.
Behind the result
Resizing happens on an HTML canvas in your browser: the image is decoded, redrawn at the new pixel dimensions with high-quality smoothing, and re-encoded in your chosen format. Nothing is uploaded, so even a 50 MP photo is processed at local speed.
A worked example
A marketplace requires product photos of exactly 1200 × 1200 px.
- Input
- A 4032 × 3024 px JPG straight from a phone camera (4.8 MB).
- Output
- A sharp 1200 × 1200 px JPG at roughly 220 KB, ready to upload.
