Terms of Service

Last updated: October 18, 2026

By using File Studio you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

Using File Studio

File Studio provides free, browser-based image and PDF tools. You may use them for files you own or are permitted to process. You are responsible for respecting copyrights, privacy rights and applicable laws. Password removal requires the correct password and authorization from the document owner.

Acceptable use

Do not use File Studio to process unlawful content, infringe the rights of others, attempt to disrupt or overload the website, or interfere with its advertising.

Your original files

Keep a copy of your original documents and check the downloaded result before relying on it. Converting, compressing or unlocking a PDF can change quality and remove document features, forms or signatures.

Advertising

File Studio is supported by ads served by Google AdSense and its partners. Ads and the sites they link to are provided by third parties; we are not responsible for their content. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies are used.

Intellectual property

The File Studio name, design and website code belong to File Studio. Files you process remain yours; we claim no rights to them.

Availability and limitations

File Studio is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including uninterrupted availability or suitability for every file. Results depend on browser support, file structure, available memory and processing settings.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, File Studio is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the website or its tools.

Security

Basic PDF password protection is not a substitute for a dedicated secure document system. Do not use these tools as your sole protection for highly sensitive documents.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
